Project Overview

Our client is a global company with operations in Italy, Germany, UAE, the Netherlands, and the USA. Despite their international presence, their website was available only in English. It was also slow, not mobile-friendly, and difficult to update.

They needed a better solution — a fast, modern, and easy-to-manage website in multiple languages.
That’s where we stepped in.

Challenges

  • Single-language website: Only English content, which did not serve local audiences in Italy, Germany, UAE, and the Netherlands.
  • Poor performance: Slow loading times, especially for international users.
  • Lack of mobile responsiveness: The site did not adapt well to mobile devices, leading to a poor user experience.
  • Difficult content management: Updating and managing content for different regions was time-consuming and inefficient.
  • Weak SEO foundation: No language-specific SEO, missing technical elements like robots.txt and sitemaps, and no proper tracking for analytics.

Our Approach & Solution

1. CMS Selection and Setup

  • We chose Xperience by Kentico as the CMS because it offers robust multilingual support, easy content management, and strong integration capabilities.

  • The website was rebuilt using Bootstrap to ensure mobile responsiveness and fast performance.

2. Multilingual Architecture

  • Implemented a root directory structure for each language (e.g., /en/, /it/, /de/, /ar/, /nl/), making it easy to manage and scale content in each language6.

  • Enabled content teams to create, update, and publish content in more than five languages from a single, centralized dashboard.

3. SEO and Technical Optimization

  • Added dedicated URLs for each language to improve search engine indexing and user navigation.

  • Implemented hreflang tags to signal language and regional targeting to search engines, ensuring users see the correct language version in their search results.

  • Created and optimized robots.txt and XML sitemaps for each language, helping search engines crawl and index the site efficiently.

  • Focused on translating and localizing all metadata, including title tags, meta descriptions, and image alt text, for each language.

  • Used Bootstrap to ensure the site was fully mobile responsive, improving user experience and SEO rankings.

4. Analytics and Tracking

  • Integrated Google Analytics (GA), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Search Console for each language version, allowing precise tracking and performance monitoring.
